Brooklyn Developer Tolib Mansurov Advances New Mixed-Use Project in Park Slope Amid Past Controversies
Brooklyn-based developer Tolib Mansurov is moving forward with plans for an eight-story mixed-use building at 250 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, further expanding his local real estate footprint. The proposed 35,400-square-foot development is set to include 20 residential units and approximately 8,300 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor, complemented by a 20-foot backyard. The project’s architectural design is led by Alexander Zhitnik of Z Architecture. Mansurov acquired the site in February 2022 for around $7.5 million, according to city property records.
Mansurov’s real estate activities in Brooklyn have drawn attention not only for their scale but also due to his past political controversies. In early 2024, he was publicly identified as an alleged straw donor in former Mayor Eric Adams’ initial mayoral campaign, a case that was ultimately dismissed amid political debate during the Trump administration. Despite these allegations, Mansurov has maintained an active presence in the Brooklyn market.
This latest filing follows his July submission for a 99-unit residential building at 67 Fourth Avenue, also in Park Slope, signaling an aggressive development strategy in the neighborhood. Additionally, Mansurov recently sold six adjacent sites in Park Slope to Borough Developers’ COO Shimon Kleinman for $24 million, underscoring his ongoing portfolio adjustments in the area.
While United Elite Group, Mansurov’s firm, did not respond to requests for comment, the developer’s continued activity highlights the resilience and complexity of Brooklyn’s real estate landscape. With Park Slope remaining a desirable location for mixed-use developments, projects like Mansurov’s at 250 Flatbush Avenue contribute to the borough’s evolving urban fabric amid shifting regulatory and political environments.
