Montefiore Expands Cardiac Outpatient Services with New Mount Kisco Clinic

White Plains Hospital Center, a key facility within the Montefiore Health System, is advancing its outpatient cardiac care by developing a new extension clinic in Mount Kisco. The planned 2,320-square-foot cardiac diagnostic center will provide outpatient echocardiography and cardiac stress testing, expanding access to specialized heart services approximately 18 miles from the hospital’s main campus in White Plains.

The project, budgeted at around $1.8 million and expected to be completed within seven months, was recently submitted for approval to the New York State Department of Health. Montefiore will finance the development entirely with cash, signaling strong financial health and commitment to Westchester’s growing healthcare demands. The new facility, dubbed the WPH Mount Kisco Diagnostic Center, is projected to handle over 2,500 patient visits in its first year, increasing to nearly 2,800 visits by year three.

Michael Gelormino, spokesperson for White Plains Hospital, emphasized the strategic importance of expanding cardiac services closer to Northern Westchester communities. “White Plains Hospital continues to grow its services,” Gelormino said. “This new location will expand access to comprehensive cardiac care for our patients in Northern Westchester.” This move aligns with Montefiore’s broader approach to extend its footprint beyond the Bronx and New York City, reinforcing its presence in the suburban healthcare market.

The Mount Kisco clinic complements White Plains Hospital’s network of outpatient multispecialty practices spread across Westchester County, including locations from Yonkers to Yorktown Heights. The development reflects a growing trend among healthcare systems to shift certain cardiac procedures and diagnostic testing to ambulatory sites. This model enables providers to reduce overhead costs and improve patient convenience by delivering specialty care without hospital admissions.
